Part 1.
There is so much to do in Catalonia on a week-long kosher vacation in the summer 2019!
Let’s start with one day trip idea to Banyoles and Besalu which are located 32Km /40 minutes driving time from the Castle.
Starting in Banyoles (have to get to the market in time), home to the largest lake in Catalonia, it is a great start to see the local, less “touristed” side of the region. As the weekly market day is Wednesday between 9:00am and 1:00pm this is the best day to visit for a lively and colorful experience. After wandering the market, take a walk or short boat excursion on the lake.
On to Besalu, Distance 12Km / 15 minutes driving.
Besalu has a long history and as well as the 12th Century bridge and a well preserved Mikvah which Kosher Culinary Travel can arrange a visit.
